How to solve message notification problem on Samsung S3
Is your phones message icon stuck at "1" under the notification, now even when you do get messages the main message icon still shows 1.
Let me guess you probably deleted all your messages to get rid of this or gone through all your message threads, you could have even tried to go in to app settings and delete the cache in messages. Well that's what I tried until I found the resolution to the problem.
So here we go to finally get rid of that pesky annoyance
in settings go to application manager - scroll to all apps - look for "badgeprovider" - press clear data - then restart your phone
setting - application manager - all apps - badgeprovider - clear data - restart phone
